If your denomination or faith group is not listed in this document please e-mail Rich Houseal, the U.S. Religion Census 2010
Operations Committee Liaison, at email@example.com. Please include your group's name, who to contact within
your group (name and e-mail or address), and an estimate of the number of congregations and adherents within your
group. We will respond with the necessary forms to ensure your group's inclusion in the study.
How does U.S. Religion Census 2010 decide who to invite? Participation in U.S. Religion Census 2010 is open to any religious group* in the US. To create
our contact list we start with groups that have participated in any of the previous studies. We also go through the Yearbook
of American & Canadian Churches and add those groups not already in our list. We also seek additional groups from the study’s
advisory board and other experts in the field of US religious studies.
Will U.S. Religion Census 2010 include independent churches? Yes. U.S. Religion Census 2010 is conducting a special study of independent churches. If you
would like to be sure that your independent church is included in the "Independent/ Non-denominational Churches - Estimate" count,
please e-mail Rich Houseal, the U.S. Religion Census 2010 Operations Committee Liaison, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include your church's name,
the county and state location of the building, and its membership and average worship attendance (if known).
*U.S. Religion Census 2010 reserves the right to determine who/what qualifies as a religious group for the purpose of inclusion in the study.
